About us

Cardiff Referees Society is a Welsh Rugby Union affiliated society supporting rugby referees across Cardiff and the surrounding area.

The society exists to provide a welcoming and supportive environment where referees can develop their understanding of the game, share experiences, and continue improving both on and off the field.

Open to referees of all experience levels, Cardiff Referees Society brings together officials involved throughout community rugby and beyond, creating opportunities for learning, discussion, mentoring, and development within the game.

Through regular monthly meetings, law application discussions, real-life match analysis, guest speakers, coaching sessions, and shared insight from experienced referees and WRU contributors, the society helps referees stay connected to rugby while continuing to develop their confidence and performance.

At the heart of the society is a strong sense of community. Whether someone is newly qualified, returning to the game, or an experienced referee, Cardiff Referees Society aims to provide a friendly, inclusive, and supportive environment for everyone involved in rugby officiating.
